Dubrovnik, Croatia

Nothing gets better than these glorious shots I took whilst in Dubrovnik.  One of the most beautiful cities I've ever seen.

As part of my three week trip to Europe back in July, I was extremely fortunate to be able to spend half that time in a beautiful city call Dubrovnik, Croatia.

A good friend of mine, who I have known since I was about five years-old, is half Croatian/half Kiwi and spent his European Summer living with relatives in Dubrovnik, and I was lucky enough to be welcomed into their home and stay with them whilst I was over there.

Theres something about staying with locals that makes travelling and exploring a city so much more special.  The locals will always know where to go and what to do, and best of all they know what NOT to do, too.

I had such a spectacular time with them, learning about their lifestyles and experiencing it first hand - couldn't have asked for a better tour guide.  Looking back through my photos of this beautiful city makes me appreciate the time i spent there even more.  Cannot wait to get back there next year!

Take Me Back To Summer

As I sit writing this, in a small cafe in Brighton, with overcast dark clouds out the window, and a steaming hot, triple-shot cappuccino beside me, I cant help but lust over my photos from my European trip this past summer.

Ideally I would spend my life travelling to new towns and cities, week-by-week, and never have to experience weather below 25 degrees.  But we all know thats impossible for an 18-year-old student.  But one can always dream.  And thats what ill be doing for the next 6 months....

My long list of European Cities to explore seems to be getting longer rather than shorter, and being the realist I am (well try to be) I know actually getting to these places will not happen overnight.  Especially when finding a job in one of the worlds more populated cities is taking what seems like forever...

So for now ill let myself wander over ideas for future escapes to Europe, and live vicariously through my favourite lifestyle bloggers instagrams (Jessica Stein, Camille Charriere and  Zanita Morgan).
